Goa Entrepreneurs Mentoring Services Trust (GEMS) organizes the ‘Budding Entrepreneurs Workshop – BEW’ every quarter of the year at Goa, in collaboration with the institutes and organisations which promote entrepreneurship and self employment. We also work very closely with the Government departments which promote entrepreneurship, Human Resources and boost industrial / service sector overall development.

The BEW workshop is conducted to provide exposure and guidance for the rural youth. The workshop is spread out over 5 days (two days on consecutive weekends and one day for business plan presentations and mentor allocation). The average number of participants for the workshop is between 30 to 60 per workshop.

The BEW Module comprises of five days of classroom sessions. While the attendees are of two kind of mindsets, the initial sessions are about creating opportunities and ideating, the later sessions identify and scrutinize the idea for their respective business. The participants are given the guidance and time to conduct a sample market survey, gather information about the existing businesses in their field and prepare a business plan is presented on the final day. The protégé is then guided and given directions about how he could do more to achieve the desired results faster.

A Mentor-Mentee Conclave is then hosted, where the mentees were assigned experienced professionals from the industry to hand-hold and guide the mentees into the primary phase of entrepreneurship. The mentors will henceforth keep a tab on the progress of their mentees and see through the start of respective enterprise.

The GEMS Budding Entrepreneurs Workshop will help you:

• Identify Product / Service

• Conduct Market Survey

• Understand Finance and Cash Flow

• Choose Right Financing Scheme

P• repare Business Plan

In short, bridge the gap between desire and action. At the end of the workshop, participants will be provided with a Mentor – who will guide in implementation of the project.
